31 Days: Holy Communion

In October 2015, I was challenged to study the Holy Communion in great depth and to write my findings.  This was one of the best Bible Studies I have ever done, and the more I dug, the more I found, from Greek and Hebrew word roots, rich with meaning, to parallels between the Old and New Testament we completely miss in relation to communion.

As people took this challenge with me of studying communion, and examining my blogs, and of course taking communion with new understanding, I began to hear testimonies of how atmospheres in people’s homes were changing, family dynamics that were improving and breakthroughs.

31dayscommunionI have provided below a link to each day and also, a brief summary of what is covered.

Day 1: The Why, What, Who, When and Where of Communion

As the title suggests, I’ll be providing a Scripture clarifying each of the questions above, which will help us gain confidence in sharing communion more regularly and understanding the importance of this ritual Jesus said was so important

Day 2: God’s Channel of Divine Health

What does this Scripture really mean?  Over the years it has scared many away from the blessing of communion, but is there more depth here than a quick glance affords?

1 Corinthians 11:29-30English Standard Version (ESV)

29 For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. 30 That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died.

Day 3: How To Discern the Lord’s Body

What does it mean to discern the Lord’s body and why are we missing out on so many of the benefits He wants to give us?

Day 4: Don’t Be Afraid to Partake

Communion can be such a blessing to us when we understand why we are taking it, but many of us have been afraid to partake due to uninformed teaching on the matter.  The truth sets us free, and this particular truth has been a huge revelation to many.
